"Quiet Waters, Torn Moss", El Nahda Jezuit Center, Cairo, nov-dec 2022
On the occassion of the Presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union, the Czech Embassy in Cairo decided to hold this art exhibition. The title contains two meanings. "Quiet Waters" symbolize the spiritual experience of nature as a place of peace and escape from hustle and bustle of the city. "Torn Moss" evokes a disturbing tone in these calm waters, it is a trace of man that he leaves in nature, an imprint, both negative and positive, a souvenir when we all want to keep a piece of nature for ourselves. The exhibition deals with the way of experiencing nature and its reflection. This exhibition is also very topical due to the United Nations COP 27 Conference on Climate Change, which has been held in Sharm al Sheikh during this November.
